She met him at his house yesterday, after he asked her over for coffee on Twitter
We’d told you how veteran actor Shammi Kapoor had asked Deepika Padukone out for coffee on Twitter. The actor (who's also her ex-boyfriend Ranbir's grand uncle) had tweeted in mid-March, “Hi Deepika--would like you to communicate maybe could meet over a cup of coffee at my place--- love, Shammi uncle.” Deepika tweeted right back that she’d love to meet him. And the meeting finally happened yesterday (April 6).
Deepika went to Shammi Kapoor’s house in the Walkeshwar area of Mumbai and spent a couple of hours over dinner with him and his family. It seems that he told her he really enjoyed her performances in ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’. The two also talked about their experiences in the film industry.
Deepika definitely had a wonderful time at the meeting. She posted on her Twitter account later, “Guys! by far one of the best and most memorable days of my life!thank u @shamsheraj uncle for a wonderful wonderful evening...:-)”
