News is Nikhil Advani’s next offering Tanu Weds Manu has found its female lead, the gorgeous Kangna Ranaut.
Nikhil had earlier offered the role to Shahana Goswami, who eventually turned it down. While R. Madhavan was confirmed as the main lead, the makers of the film were on the lookout for an actress to star with him and settled on Kangna, who supposedly loved the script upon hearing it.
After Kangna was unavailable for comment, her spokesperson told us that the actress had just landed in Mumbai from her shoot of Anees Bazmee’s No Problem in South Africa. The actress did not want to speak of the subject now as it was too soon to comment on the issue.
Produced by Anand L. Rai, being made under the Colour Yellow Pictures banner, the film is a love story, scheduled to go on the floors in the third week of September. The film is going to be shot in most portions in North India.
At the time being, Kangna is shooting for Milan Lutharia’s Once Upon a Time and Anees Bazmee’s No Problem and has Kites releasing by the end of the year.
Kangna and Madhavan together would be something to look out for indeed, but isn't Nikhil the same guy who came up with duds such as Salaam-e-Ishq and CC2C? Let's hope third time’s the charm!
