Aishwarya sizzles in 'Raavan'

Check out her scorching chemistry with hubby Abhishek in these stills from the movie

She's officially one of the most beautiful women in the world, so no surprises that Aishwarya Rai looks gorgeous even when she's been shooting in a jungle for a really long time. Yes, facing mudslides, leeches, snakes and waterfalls, she's always a stunner in 'Raavan'. Just get a look at these new stills from the movie. Ash looks HOT, and even in the photographs, we're loving the chemistry she has with hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

We know that in the movie she's married to the character played by Southern star Vikram. But looking at these stills, we wonder if there's a twist in the story, and Ash's character ends up with Abhishek's character in the end. Just like in real-life! We'll wait for the movie to find out, meanwhile enjoy these cool pictures of Ash and Abhishek from 'Raavan'.

Will Priyanka make Shahid change homes?

Sasha says he’s being linked to her because they stay in the same building!

Shahid Kapoor is getting quite tired of the stories about him and his ‘Kaminey’ co-star Priyanka Chopra. Apparently, he can’t understand why there are so many rumours about him and PC. Hmm...maybe because of those hot and heavy scenes in 'Kaminey' and the fact that they showed up together for a private party soon after the movie.

Anyway, Shahid thinks all sorts of stories get made up about him and Priyanka because they live in the same building. Really, that's the reason? So what’s Shahid's solution to this problem? Well, he’s actually thinking about changing his home address. Wonder how Priyanka will take the news? Maybe she'll want to move too. And then they'll be right back where they started!

Big B's 'wonderful' co-star

Who's the actress he spent a fun evening with?

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently spent a fun evening with his 'Cheeni Kum' co-star Tabu.

"Tabu, the wonderful Tabu, dropped by in the evening. She had not met me for long and had just seen 'Paa' on DVD. So we talked and talked and talked on everything under the proverbial film related sun. Films and directors, scripts and performances, present times and past times, actors and actresses, media and media. Endlessly... a delight," the actor posted on his blog.

In the 2007 movie 'Cheeni Kum', Tabu played a 30-something woman who falls in love with a 67-year-old chef, played by Amitabh.

Katrina’s role model? It’s Priyanka!

Priyanka Gandhi’s campaign videos helped Kat play a politician in ‘Rajneeti’

Katrina Kaif plays a sober, sari-clad politician in ‘Rajneeti’, and rumours were that the character was based on Sonia Gandhi. It was even being speculated that Katrina’s ‘Sonia look’ in the movie was causing problems for ‘Rajneeti’ events in the political hub of Delhi.

But now it turns out that Kat didn’t model her character after Sonia Gandhi. The influences was of Sonia Gandhi's daughter, Priyanka!

Katrina says she watched a lot of the younger Gandhi’s campaign videos for body language and crowd interaction references. Well, the referencing (or should we say role modelling?) worked, because we think Katrina looks a lot like Priyanka Gandhi in the movie. Just check out the picture of Kat in the ‘Rajneeti’ poster and Priyanka Gandhi in real life, and you’ll see what we’re talking about!

Shilpa defends brand IPL

And she definitely doesn't like team Rajasthan Royals being questioned

Shilpa Shetty is getting quite emotional about the Rajasthan Royals ownership issue. Yesterday Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar said that Shilpa and her hubby Raj Kundra's names didn't figure in the IPL team's shareholding papers. And Shilpa tweeted furiously that Raj was a stake holder and she was the brand ambassador. But obviously there have ben more questions about the Rajasthan Royals franchise. And Shilpa doesn't seem to be having much fun tackling them.

She said earlier today, "Can't answer every1 queries(som very wierd). For the last time. Yes we r stake owners in RR, I am ALSO the brand ambassador. can't get into details."

Okay, Shilpa, we get your point, and we also get that the questions are getting to you. "If there r issues or qtns (questions) by BCCI, can be adressd directly to RR, Y does it hav to b done via the media!?" the star tweeted later.

She added, "No room for erronious commnts 2b made, Custodians of Cricket must not hamper d Brandvalue of this viable sport. RR Support all Bcci nd govt probe. Have always done things with integrity so when our credibility was qtnd (questioned) it hurt. Not anymore cause we hav done r bit. Truth wil prevail. SMILING:)"

Right you are, Shilpa, and we hope you'll keep smiling as the investigations progress!

"Raavan is my most challenging film yet"

Abhishek dived from a 90 foot cliff, braved snakes while shooting for it

He dived from a 90-ft cliff into water, stood under a waterfall for two hours, braved snakes and leeches in Kerala's forests - Abhishek Bachchan says shooting for 'Raavan' was emotionally and physically challenging for him.

The actor revealed that he decided to jump from scary heights despite a no from director Mani Ratnam.

"I did jump. There was a professional diver to train me how to do it," Abhishek, who has teamed up with wife Aishwarya Rai in the movie, told IANS in an interview.

"When we went up there, it was 90 feet or something. So the insurance people said that we can't allow him to do it. You can't put your lead actor's life at risk," he said.

"Mani said no, I am not going to risk my actor jumping off that (cliff). Actually, the current of that river is very intense. There are rocks at the bottom.

"In the meantime, a five-year-old boy came and dived into the water. We were shooting it at Hogenakkal (waterfall on the Cauvery river), where these local kids jump off for money. So five-six people jumped at the end of the day and finally the shot was taken," he said.

"This is the most challenging film I have ever done in my life. I haven't done such a physically and emotionally challenging film in my life. And it's not about going to tough locations or tough scenes. The film drains you and you feel so good when you go home at night because you feel that you have done something. Getting a movie like 'Raavan' is so rare. You don't get such a role today," Abhishek said.

Ratnam's 'Raavan' is said to be a modern interpretation of the epic "Ramayana". It also stars southern superstar Vikram, who plays a cop married to Aishwarya.

The director simultaneously shot 'Raavan' in Tamil and Hindi at various locations, including the Athirapally forests in Kerala, Ooty in Tamil Nadu, Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, Kolkata, and the Malshej Ghats in Maharashtra. The film has lots of action scenes and stunts performed by the actors.

Ratnam completed the film despite health problems.

"Once you work with him, you will be in awe of him because of the talent he brings to the table. The minute he says cut, he turns into a dear friend. He is someone very close to me. I really feel a strong bond with him. But in front of the camera, you don't have to work to give him the respect - it just comes... He is truly just the best," said Abhishek.

It was Ratnam who gave Abhishek his first hit in 'Yuva' and they later worked together in 'Guru'.

Talking about his character, Abhishek said: "Beera is the most fun character I have played. Fun because when we work on a character, we draw an outline and then fill in the blanks. But Beera is so unpredictable that you can get away with everything. Mani said do whatever you have done. Make it a convincing performance.

"I believe if you can look the character, 50 percent of your job done. I think when you get the body language correct, half of your work is done. And if you have understood the body language, your dialogues after that would just come."

Ratnam loves shooting on real locations to extract the best from his actors, said Abhishek.

"On the first day, he puts us under the waterfall for two hours and, trust me, you are in character. Mani loves to shoot at location. You will think, 'where have we come?' The jungles of Kerala, the snakes and leeches... then you realise that he puts you into the situation where in a day or two you start reacting instinctively as your character would react because you are actually facing that.

"You don't need to act that much, you are just reacting naturally. So when you go to locations like that, it brings out the character automatically."

Protests against Big B's proposed Sri Lanka trip

Tamils shouted slogans outside his home over his decision to visit as IIFA chief guest

Hundreds of Tamils protested outside the bungalow of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai today (April 25), shouting slogans against his decision to visit Sri Lanka as chief guest for the India International Films Awards (IIFA) function in June.

"We urge him not to attend the function in Colombo as a symbol of solidarity for the Tamilian cause in Sri Lanka. Tamils have been subject to atrocities and war crimes perpetrated by the Mahinda Rajapaksa government in that country," C. Rajendran, spokesperson for the protesters, told IANS.

The protesters marched from Bachchan's Pratiksha bungalow to his Jalsa residence, where a delegation met him and two IIFA office bearers, who assured the representatives that they would convey the sentiments of Tamils to the IIFA governing board and take a suitable decision.

Later, Rajendran told mediapersons that the Sri Lankan government had allegedly killed over 1.5 lakh Tamils during its war with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in the last couple of years. He claimed that over 3.5 lakh Tamils continue to face a "hostile administration" in that country.

Big B has liver cirrhosis

He reveals how and when he contracted the disease

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan Saturday revealed he suffers from liver cirrhosis even though he doesn't drink alcohol. The actor said he contracted the disease after his near fatal accident while shooting 'Coolie' in 1982.

"Friends, relatives, well wishers and the workers and staff of our pharmaceutical factory, all lined up (to give blood). I lived. That was 1982, almost 28 years ago. But in and around the year 2000-2002, a routine investigation threw up a scenario which had hitherto gone undetected," the actor posted on his blog.

Amitabh met with the accident during one of the action scenes in the film 'Coolie'. His surgery required a lot of blood. The urgency of its administration propelled several volunteers to come forward. Two hundred people donated blood and 60 bottles of blood were collected and injected in the actor. But, this caused the problem.

"Some of the blood from an unknown donor was infected with the Australian antigen Hepatitis. This particular infection or mode in a particular blood donor has the unique quality of getting active inside the system after lying dormant for a couple of months.

"It was also an unknown hepatitis in 1982 and there were, perhaps due to the urgency of the matter, no known immediate tests to ascertain its existence before it was administered. So it went into my system, festered and attacked my liver.

"Eight years ago, during the course of an MRI, they discovered that 25 percent of my liver had been destroyed by it. I was, therefore, technically or shall we say in medical terminology, a patient by default. A patient that had developed cirrhosis of the liver - a condition that is normally associated with that of an alcoholic. So here I was, a non-alcoholic, a teetotaller, with an ailment that I imbibed through a blood transfusion from a donor," he added.

Because of this problem, the 67-year-old actor has to get himself monitored on a regular basis.

"Now since the liver and any ailment associated with it is extremely sensitive, I have to be under constant vigil and monitoring, to keep checking if there is any further damage taking place. A few days back my blood report showed a sudden rise in my liver counts and the doctor felt it necessary to investigate further through an MRI. For me, this is an every three month procedure," Amitabh said.

Karan's on for more Koffee

He confirms that he's doing third season of 'Koffee with Karan'

The 'Will he? Won't he?' has ended and Karan Johar has confirmed that he will doing another season of his popular star chat show 'Koffee with Karan'? He posted on his Twitter account, "Hey guys!! Am doing KOFEE WITH KARAN...SEASON 3!!! It should be out july-august 2010...will keep you all posted with details!! Am excited!"

Karan sure was excited, he misspelt the 'koffee' from his show's name. He tweeted later, "Sorry that's KOFFEE!!!"

So who do you think will be the first guest on Karan's show? And we know SRK will definitely be on the show at some point (as he has been on previous seasons), but who do you think will be the new guests and couples on the show? We'd love to see Salman and Aamir come on the show, and watch Saif-Kareena talk about their relationship. So we'll be waiting for the show, and also for the details Karan will share about it.

Why Preity almost fainted

She checked her weight after two months and got a shock!

It was not a crash diet that almost made actress Preity Zinta faint, it was her weighing scale that shocked the star to the core.

"Eeeks! Stepped on the weighing scale after two months and almost fainted! Have put on 4 kilos! Forget the news! I need to focus in the gym now," Preity posted on her Twitter account.

Hrithik's 'Kites' to fly high across the world

Widest ever release for Bollywood with simultaneous openings in India, US and Canada

In what will be the widest ever release for any Indian Bollywood production, 'Kites', the eagerly-anticipated romantic adventure starring Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, will open simultaneously in India, the US, Canada and other countries on May 21.

The Rakesh Roshan production, directed by Anurag Basu, will be released by Reliance BIG Pictures (RBEL) on more than 2,000 screens simultaneously, including over 200 in the US, RBEL announced Thursday.

Shot completely on location in Las Vegas, Sante Fe and Los Angeles, 'Kites' is a unique Bollywood film in a number of ways, not the least of which is the fact that a reworked English language version, designed to extend the reach of the original, will be launched in select engagements one week later.

Entitled 'Kites: The Remix', it is being presented by Brett Ratner, who oversaw its creation. In the US, 'Kites: The Remix' will be released in association with Mark Urman's Paladin, and will open in several major markets, including New York and Los Angeles, for the Memorial Day holiday weekend beginning May 28.

Produced on an epic scale, and set primarily against the lavish backdrop of Las Vegas, 'Kites' tells the story of two star-crossed lovers who are destined to be together even though each is betrothed to another.

Reliance BIG Pictures CEO, Sanjeev Lamba, commented "'Kites' is a very important film for Reliance with a story that has international appeal. By releasing the original Hindi version and Brett Ratner's 'Remix' a week apart, we feel that we can reach the largest possible audience, including the younger demographic for whom 2+ hours is a challenge".

As of May 21, 'Kites' will play at all traditional Indian film venues around the world, including Reliance's own newly-opened Big Cinema on E. 59th Street in Manhattan, New York.

However, the vast majority of the initial screens will be major-chain, mainstream commercial theatres, as well as specialty cinemas catering to foreign film-going audiences.

That's Sushmita's new baby!

The star brought three-month-old Alisah along to an event in Mumbai

Sushmita Sen became a proud mommy for the second time recently when she adopted Alisah. And we got our first look at the baby when the star brought her along for the crowning of the winners of the 'I Am Princess' initiative. Sush was at the Bal Bhavan charity for the event, and she showed off Alisah to everyone there. She even handed Alisah over to the kids at the charity so they could play with the baby.

Alisah's already a cutie at three months, and she looks like she loves the camera. Just look at the way she's totally unfazed and at home before the camera, must get it from her mom!

Sushmita already has another daughter, Renee, who was adopted in the year 2000. And now with Alisah, Sush's family portrait makes for an even more adorable picture.

Ash brings Salman to Dubai

Volcano cloud causes 'Dabangg' shoot to shift from Switzerland to the UAE

Just a few days ago, it was Katrina Kaif whose travel plans were affected by the ash clouds from the volcanic erruptions in Iceland. She needed to get to London for her grandfather's birthday but had to cancel her plans because of the air travel chaos caused by the ash. And now it's Salman Khan whose plans have had to be changed because of the ash clouds. In Salman's case, a song shoot for his brother Arbaaz's movie 'Dabangg' has had to be moved from Switzerland to Dubai.

Arbaaz posted on his Twitter account about the song to be shot with Salman and the movie's heroine Sonakshi Sinha, "The song we were doing in Switzerland is cancelled because of the volcano and no flights to europe. We will now shoot the same song in Dubai after changing the concept a bit. It is a honeymoon song so an outdoor location is important."

So Salman and Katrina were both affected by the same problem. Talk about coincidences and connections!

Salman is going to play Mogambo!

The star as villain in Boney Kapoor's 3D sequel to 'Mr India' is sure to be lots of fun

All of you out there who watched 'Mr India' (and kept saying 'Mogambo Khush Hua' for years afterwards) will be happy to know that Boney Kapoor is making a sequel to the 80s Bollywood classic. And the movie is going to have the best modern special effects as well as be in 3D!

Anil Kapoor and Sridevi will be playing the leads again, but the big news is that Salman Khan will be playing Mogambo, that absolutely iconic villain who the late Amrish Puri portrayed with such style.

Salman as Mogambo? Well, it would be interesting to see the star play a negative character on screen. Do you think he'll be good playing the ultimate bad guy? We're trying to imagine it, and also how he'd say 'Mogambo khush hua'!

"I am totally hosting the IPL awards"

Karan Johar says it's a prestigious brand, calls commissioner Lalit Modi 'very nice'

Director-producer Karan Johar says he is going ahead with plans to host the Indian Premier League (IPL) Awards despite the controversy surrounding the cricket extravaganza, which he describes as one of India's most "prestigious brands".

"I am totally hosting it and I think IPL is one of the most entertaining and prestigious brands of India," Karan told reporters after launching the DVD of 'My Name Is Khan' at Crossword in Mumbai on April 21.

"It has contributed so much to the entertainment quotient for millions of Indian across the country. I am proud to kind of share on stage everyone's cricket passion..."

The IPL is under a cloud with a probe into its financial deals. Income tax officials Wednesday searched the premises of IPL franchises in Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Kochi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi and Chandigarh.

A case to probe foreign exchange violations by the franchises was also registered,

Referring to IPL chairman Lalit Modi, he said: "I know Lalit socially and he is very nice whenever he meets me."

Karan maintains that he is yet to decide on making a comeback with the third edition of his popular celebrity chat show 'Koffee With Karan'. "We have taken a call and I will know in a couple of days whether I am doing the show or not."

Shilpa's luck by TV

Star who's judging 'Zara Nachke Dikha' says telly has always proven lucky for her

Actress Shilpa Shetty, who is soon to appear in a dance reality show 'Zara Nachke Dikha' to be aired on STAR Plus, admits that television shows have proven lucky for her and after marriage she wanted to do something which didn't take much of her time.

"Judging is always a huge responsibility and TV has always been something that has proven lucky for me," Shilpa told reporters.

"I am just married, and so I thought I should spend some time with my family. I wanted to do something that did not take much of my time and at the same time allowed me to have a great time," she added.

Shilpa has teamed up with actor Arshad Warsi and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant to judge the show.

"As you know, it's a battle of the sexes and we will try and not have any bias. I have always been very pro-women but I have also been very pro-talent. So if the person is talented, you can't help but appreciate," Shilpa said.

This is for the third time Shilpa is appearing on television after taking part in the British 'Celebrity Big Brother' TV show (2007) and hosting the second season of 'Bigg Boss' (2008).

"Well I really liked the concept and as you know that they are bringing it on a grander scale this year. Dancing is always something that I enjoyed. This is my third stint on television and every year it keeps getting better," she added.

Asked how different it would be from other dance reality shows, she said: "Every show is different from the other. The participants are celebrities and the show is dance oriented but the edge will be the battle between men and women, which is always great fun."

"That's what makes it different. We have got whole lot of dances. It would be more theatrical and cinematically it would be more interesting to watch," Shilpa said.

Another date with Deepika

That's what Shammi Kapoor wants after he met her for dinner a few weeks ago!

Flamboyant yesteryear Bollywood style icon Shammi Kapoor has once again asked young actress Deepika Padukone out for coffee.

"Morning love. How are thee? Only get to see you in (Vijay) Mallya match. Another cuppa another day? What say you," the 78-year-old posted on Deepika's Twitter page.

The invitation comes just two weeks after the two met for a date. Deepika had expressed how it was her best date ever.

But Deepika is so busy with her shooting that she may not accept his invitation.

"namaste shammi uncle! would love to... only thing is I've been shooting everyday and packing up way past your coffee time," she posted on her microblogging website.

To which Shammi Kapoor tweeted right back, "Work is important. Coffe to kabhi bhi pee sakate hai. Love"

Bollywood's IPL owners in trouble

SRK's team office in Kolkata raided by income tax officials, Preity summoned by court

The Indian Premier League (IPL) scandal that has rocked the cricketing and Indian political world is now fast spreading to Bollywood. It has been alleged that IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has hidden stakes in teams owned by Shah Rukh Khan (Kolkata Knight Riders), Preity Zinta (Kings XI Punjab) and Shilpa Shetty (Rajasthan Royals. And today (April 21) the Kolkata offices of Shah Rukh's team were raided by income tax officials. The offices of the Cricket Association of Bengal were also raided.

Meanwhile, in Chandigarh, a court has summoned the promoters of Kings XI Punjab. Reportedly, the promoters have not shared details of their financial dealings and balance sheet with the Registrar of Companies.

While there has been no response from Shah Rukh on these developments, Preity had tweeted a few days ago, "Lalit Modi has ABSOLUTELY NO share in Kxip!" She had said earlier, "Media needs 2 b accountable 4 what comes out in press! Am shocked at some of d stories regarding KXIP! No gossip or rumour pls! only news!"

A probe into financial deals of the IPL was broad-based today with searches at offices of three of its event management and broadcast firms in Mumbai, even as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) registered a case to investigate foreign exchange violations by its franchisees.

Also, the income tax probe which started with the IPL Kochi franchise last Wednesday was widened with simultaneous searches in multiple cities.

The 10 franchisees under scrutiny are Kochi's Rendezvous Sports, Pune's Sahara group, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab.

Earlier in Mumbai, a team of over 50 officials of the Directorate of Income Tax Investigation started the search operations at the premises of Multi Screen Media, World Sports Group and Pat Magnarella Management in Bandra, Khar and Malad suburbs of north-west Mumbai in the morning.

Simultaneously, the ED Mumbai registered a case against "unknown persons" under the Foreign Exchange Management Act to probe unauthorized transfer of huge foreign funds without the permission of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

The ED move was prompted by information that huge funds have found their way into the IPL from international tax havens. It would inquire into the root of the IPL finances from dubious sources, officials said.

Earlier called Sony Entertainment Television, Multi Screen Media has the telecast rights for the IPL T20 cricketing extravaganza for 10 years from 2008, while World Sports Group acquired the global media rights for IPL for 10 years for over $1.5 billion.

Pat Magnarella Management is a full-service management, branding, and marketing services company, which in the past specialised in the music business and later made a foray into sports as well, officials said.

In New Delhi, another investigative wing of the finance ministry, the Directorate of Enforcement, registered a preliminary case against the IPL and its franchisees to probe possible violations of foreign exchange rules and regulations.

The case was registered under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act in a bid to help the directorate's officers search the premises of suspected people, seize incriminating material and hold enquiries, officials said.

A probe by the tax department had first started with the Kochi franchise of IPL last Wednesday. A day after, officials from the income tax department visited various offices of the IPL in Mumbai and questioned its commissioner Lalit Modi.

Based on the documents collected, the tax probe was then extended to other cities as well, following which all the wings of the finance ministry were roped in for parallel investigations.

Finance ministry officials said their main concern was whether ill-gotten money stashed abroad was being brought back into the country, as also whether there was tax evasion by IPL and its franchisees.

The question of free equity to some directors of franchises is also being probed.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchcan in Sri Lanka

Indian Bollywood star Amitab Bachchan arrived at the Bandaranaike International airport in Katunayaka today morning. The renowned Indian Actor is here to attend the press conference announcing the Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) ceremony to be held in Colombo in July 2010.

The Sri Lanka Tourist Board sponsored IIFA event will be held with the patronage of many Bollywood stars like Aishwarya Rai and Sharukh Khan. Several other events will also be organized in light of the film awards during the IIFA week in Colombo.

Finally, Shoaib and Sania, just married

Sania wore a red saree that her mother had worn 25 years ago for her own nikaah. Shoaib was in a black sherwani.

Shoaib Malik-Sania Mirza get married

She wore a red sari at the nikah today, Shoaib wore a sherwani by Shantanu & Nikhil

It's the latest in the series of twists that have become part and parcel of the Sania Mirza-Shoaib Malik story. Early today (April 12), their media representative told the press that the nikah between the two would be performed today. The date and time were not revealed due to security reasons, and the representative refused to answer any other questions either.

The nikah did happen at the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad, the same five-star hotel where the reception on April 15 is also expected to take place. Sania wore a red sari, the same one her mother wore at her own nikah years ago. Shoaib wore a sherwani by designers Shantanu & Nikhil. It's also been revealed that the mehendi function will be held tomorrow, while the sangeet ceremony will happen day after. The reception will take place as planned on April 15.

The developments today come after there were stories doing the rounds on Friday (April 9) that Shoaib and Sania were going to get married on the day. A qazi in the area had even confirmed that this would happen. But then problems surfaced because, apparently, Shoaib's passport and other documents were still with the police. A member of Sania's family had said then that the marriage would happen as planned on April 15.

Preity has a 'special year'

Says she's learnt who her real friends are and also to stand alone

Actress Preity Zinta, whose Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kings XI Punjab has not been performing well this season, says she has learnt to accept failures with a smile.

"This year is special! I have learnt more about myself than ever in the past. I learnt to accept failure with a smile and (with) my head held high," Preity posted on her Twitter page.

First, the actress broke off with her boyfriend, Bombay Dyeing scion and Kings XI Punjab team co-owner Ness Wadia, last year and then her team hasn't been scoring well in the T20 tournament.

But when Kings XI Punjab won against Delhi Daredevils in the capital Sunday, she rejoiced.

"I learnt who my real friends were and I learnt to stand alone and hold my ground. I learnt to keep the faith and I learnt the importance of silence. Also, learnt that the fastest way to forget all your problems in the world was to wear a pair of tight shoes," she wrote.

Who's the latest item girl?

She grooves to a remix of the classic song 'Apni Toh Jaise Taise' in 'Housefull'

Jacqueline Fernandes' career as a heroine didn't start off with a bang (we're still reeling from her turn in 'Aladdin'), and she's stunned us with her single smiley expression in 'Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai'. But she might just have found her niche now. Jacqueline features in the remix of the classic song 'Apni Toh Jaise Taise' in the upcoming Akshay Kumar starrer 'Housefull', and we have to admit she looks quite stunning. She goes all out-glam in the song and dances with Akshay and Riteish Deshmukh. The music's by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, and the choreography is by Farah Khan. So we hope to see a dancing side of Jacqueline that's more fun than watching her act.

Kangana's no longer skinny

She's piled on the kilos after fracturing her foot and feasting on home-cooked food

Kangana Ranaut's known for her slim frame, but that look might be a thing of the past for her, for some time at least. We'd told you how the star fractured her foot after a bike accident during the shoot of 'Tanu Weds Manu' in Punjab. This was in late March. Since then, the actress who'd been advised bed rest, has been staying at her home in Manali, and enjoying lots of great food. And in the bargain, she's put on about seven-eight kilos.

So are the producers of her movie in a panic, now that the star's shape has changed somewhat? Luckily for Kangana, they're actually quite happy now that she looks 'healthier' and more suited to play the Punjabi kudi in 'Tanu Weds Manu'!

Shah Rukh’s got the IPL blues

He’ll stay away from the Knight Riders next match, which is a must-win for them

Superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan will not be present when his side takes on Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings in a must win encounter for the teams tomorrow (April 13) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

"No, I won't come to Chennai for the match. Think the team needs to introspect and play without my interference...emotional or physical," the superstar tweeted today.

The Knight Riders have not been consistent enough in their campaign this year and are now ranked sixth with 10 points from 11 matches with a poor net run rate of -0.417.

Shah Rukh is worried about that.

"I think our main issue is winning consecutive games. We haven't since the first two. Momentum and consistence amiss," Shah Rukh said on the social networking site.

Shah Rukh, who is busy shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Ra. One’, also feels that only praying for his team's success will not work. Performance on the field is the only mantra for the Knights.

"Ha ha... someone said better way to pray at KKR matches will help...I don't think so...I think better play at KKR matches will help our cause," he said.

The Knight Riders need to win all three of their remaining matches to stay in contention for a semi final berth.

With Mumbai Indians making the semi-finals for the first time in IPL history Sunday after mauling the Rajasthan Royals, the only team not to feature in the semis ever is the Knight Riders.
