See: 15 years old priyanka

Priyanka Chopra plays a 15 year old girl in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s What’s your Rashee?

“I have worked so hard in this film. Mera khoon pasina behgaya hai iss movie mein. Playing 12 different characters was the most challenging thing for me; it’s the first time something like this has ever been done. I just hope people like my work in the film,” said Priyanka when asked about her 12 different avatars.

But it was the role of a 15 year old that had Priyanka worried. She said, “Zhankhana, Capricorn was the toughest character yet, to play a 15 year old girl on top of that a village simpleton was mind racking. We didn’t have any prosthetics and it was only my hair, clothes and body language that helped me mould myself into Zhankhana. Thankfully Ashutosh Sir was very helpful and gave me some useful pointers, so I think it worked out just fine.”

She even got a fake uni-brow look to fit the role of a nerdy little adolescent just about learning to grow up when she has to deal with the utter nonsense of getting married to a man. Her life comes stuck like a telly serial around the idiot block.

No guesses on who's going to hog up all the attention here eh? So long Harman!

What’s Ashutosh’s Rashee

Ashutosh Gowarikar has been in the news for everything other than his latest release What’s your Rashee?

The director is known for his outbursts at public events, the most recent being the one in which he told his leading lady Priyanka Chopra that she didn’t deserve the Best Actress Award. Priyanka was very upset but it seems that the cold war has ended, she said, “I’m very happy to have worked with Ashu Sir, a director of such calibre. I haven’t been in this biz for that long but I’m thankful that I have had the opportunity to work with him.”

Ashutosh Gowarikar is hoping that his latest flick that also stars forgotten actor Harman Baweja will have the same fate as his last blockbuster Jodhaa Akbar. “This is the first time I’ve ventured into the romantic comedy genre. I didn’t want to limit myself into the same genre and I wanted to experiment and do something light for a chance. I hope it has the same success as my earlier films, even if the audience smiles during the film, I’ll be happy,” he said.

The film which is based on the adaptation of a novel is about a young Gujarati man in pursuit of his dream girl with the catch to find her within 10 days in order to save his family from an unforeseen ordeal. Priyanka has 12 different avatars in the film and on being quizzed why Ashu didn’t choose different actresses he said, “I could have used 12 different characters but I used Priyanka because she is a fabulous actress and she’s just so versatile in order to fit into all 12 characters with ease. She has worked very hard and I’m very happy with the results.”

Nice to know both have kissed and made up but we feels that Ashutosh shouldn’t keep his hopes up for the film. The music can put anybody to sleep, Harman is unnoticeable and the length on the film could put you in a never-ending slumber. That all even before the release of the film, go figure!

First look at ‘What’s Your Raashee?’

See Priyanka in her 12 roles

Take a look at the just-released poster of Ashutosh Gowariker’s first romantic comedy “What’s Your Raashee?”, starring Priyanka Chopra and Hurman Baweja.

Priyanka plays 12 roles in the film, her most challenging till date.

“What’s Your Raashee?” is the story of Yogesh Patel, a young man who in his heart has always wanted a love marriage. Suddenly he is told that he must find his dream girl within ten days to save his family from ruin.

Finding the dream girl is tough enough. Finding her in a hurry is even tougher.

His solution is simple, he will meet one girl from each raashee – sun sign, as he feels that is the best way to make sure he finds a suitable wife, while also giving himself 12 chances to fall in love.

Two meetings per day gives him six days to meet them, three days to make a final decision and he can get married on the tenth day, or so he thinks.
Based on the Gujarati novel "Kimball Ravenswood" by Madhu Rye, "What’s Your Raashee?" is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sunita A. Gowariker

The film is releasing on September 25, 2009.
