The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan(Roshan Mehra),Sonam Kapoor(Bittu),Waheed Rahman (Dadi),Om Puri(Madan Gopal),Atul Kulkarni (Gobar),Rishi Kapoor(Ali),Divya Dutta (untouchable Jalebi), Tanvi Azmi(Fatima),Shefali Shah,Gulshan Grover,Prem Chopra,Amitabh Bachchan,Pavan malhotra ( Jai Gopal),Supriya Pathak (Vimla),K.K. Raina(Haji) and others. Its made by Rakyesh Mehra the director of Rang De Basanti. I will watch it and review and then rate it. The music is excellent by A.R. Rahman and much much better thanj Jai Ho or anything he has composed for Slumdog Millionaire. Its about an NRI's first taste of Old Delhi and India and his involvment in communal riots and attacks attributed to a criminal popularly dubbed theMonkey Man in Delhi.

Delhi 6 New York Premiere

Ace filmmaker Rakeysh Mehra missed his Saturday night flight to New York for a very special screening of “Delhi 6“, when the flight left it carried producer Ronnie Screwvala, Sonam Kapoor and Rakeysh’s wife Bharti, but not Rakeysh and Abhishek Bachchan.

Instead Rakeysh Mehra together with his leading man Abhishek Bachchan headed for New York on Sunday morning for the Sunday night screening of “Delhi 6″ at the super prestigious Museum Of Modern Art.

Speaking in transit from Dubai, “We wanted to finish with this New York screening before having our first screening for cast crew and family. I am absolutely proud that they chose Delhi 6. Moma is not a theatre one can hire for a screening. Their curator saw our movie. He sent an email saying it would be a pleasure to screen our movie at Moma”. No other movie from any part of the world ever has been premiered at Moma.

The movie is a hit ( not a raving hit like Rang De Basanti but nevertheless a hit ). Considering that the lead actor narrates the story and has onyl 11 actual dialogue lines in the whole movie.I mean Abhishek Bachcan actually has only 11 lines of dialogue in the film.

Here are some photos of the New York premiere with Ab very much present.

Roshan travels from USA to India with his ailing grandmother. Little does he know that this quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life… a journey within!
The story is told against the backdrop of the ancient walled city of Delhi who is a character in herself.

A city that represents the chaos of Indian people, their religion and their beliefs.
The pin code of this old city is 110006. With pride and love they call it DELHI- 6.
