Bollywood at Gitanjali Fashion Week 2009
As usual a lot of our Bollywood actresses ( and also actors this time) graced the Gitanjali Fashion Week 2009 with their presence on the ramp. I have often wondered how much they are paid ( are they ?) by the designer to walk the ramp for publicity. If it is for publicity then Rocky S could have done better I think than Raima Sen ( considering how many movie stars he makes clothes for!!) But again this time Vikram Phadnis stole the show with the coolest celebs walking for him. The show over several days saw Katrina Kaif,Sameera Reddy,Parvathy Omanakuttan,Amrita Rao,Harman Baweja,Neha Dhupia,Raima Sen,Celina Jaitley,Sayali Bhagat,Prachi Desai. The shoot was for a forthcoming music video on Gujarat, conceptualised and directed by a Gujarati filmmaker that salutes the spirit of Gujarat in the face of adversity. Made on the lines of the song "Mile sur mera tumhara...", which had the concept of national integration, the video will hit the screens early 2009.
Manish Bhatt, Mumbai-based advertising guru and the force behind Jityu hamesha Gujarat' video, has composed the song for the video on the same meter as Zaverchand Meghani's famous song "Lagyo kasumbi no rang."
A sequence of this film was shot in the majestic Adalaj ni Vav with the entire team, including known faces of the entertainment industry such as Prachi Desai, Tanvi Vyas, Nidhi Seth and Mauli Dave. The crew members are going to shoot extensively in central and south Gujarat in the coming days. Here are some photos of Prachi Desai at the Adalaj ni vav.
