After his movies 'Lagaan' and 'Taare Zameen Par' which did well on the festival circuit, looks like Aamir Khan has another winner on his hands. His home production 'Peepli Live', which releases on August 13, has already won its first award. The movie, directed by Anusha Rizvi, picked up the prize for Best First Feature Film at the Durban International Film Festival.The International Jury commented, "Peepli Live is an ambitious and well-realised film that deals with serious political issues in a witty and entertaining manner. It creates an enchanting world of colourful characters, images and music that engrosses viewers throughout."
Well, Aamir was the one who greenlighted Anusha's project. So he sure knows how to pick winners!
